Hello Entz Explorers!

I am Cally Pursley, principal of Entz Elementary and I am beyond excited to be part of an amazing community of explorers!  I would like to begin my introduction proudly sharing that I am a Mesa Public Schools graduate attending Mendoza Elementary, Shepherd Junior High, and Red Mountain High School!  I played golf for Red Mountain and continue enjoying the sport (when the weather is nice)!  I attended Northern Arizona University earning my bachelor’s degree in elementary education, then Grand Canyon University earning a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in reading, and back to NAU for my principal’s certificate!  I just cannot stop learning!  As an educator and leader, I believe in the MPS Promise that every student in Mesa Public Schools is known by name, served by strength and need, and graduates ready for college, career and community.

Entz staff and student expectations are based on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  PBIS is an evidence-based framework for teams to implement data, systems, and practices to support positive behaviors and help schools become safe, predictable, positive, and equitable learning environments.  I encourage you and your family to become familiar with our school-wide expectations as we collaborate on the journey of your child’s early learning.
